Pastors Tim and Karen Newby

Pastors Tim and Karen Newby have devoted over 30 years to full-time ministry. After serving as staff pastors at two previous churches, they felt called to lead a multicultural church that loves worshiping the Lord and growing in the Word of God. In 2003, they joined Roswell Assembly as Lead Pastors and have found fulfillment in serving this local fellowship of believers. They focus on encouraging people to discover their spiritual gifts and serve in the Body of Christ while properly handling the Truth in the Word of God.

Pastor Tim is passionate about sharing the Word of God through preaching, teaching, and connecting with men to help them grow in the Lord. He enjoys his free time at the gym and is an avid thrift shopper.

Pastor Karen is dedicated to helping women grow in their knowledge and understanding of the Word of God. She has been leading a Women’s Bible Study on Tuesdays since 2005 and encourages women to form mentoring relationships with other women in the church. Karen loves reading, especially the Bible, and enjoys spending time at the beach.

Tim and Karen have three grown children: Kaleigh, who is married to Jonathan Wood and owns a consulting business; Lydia Joy, who lives at home and attends a day program for adults with special needs; and Timmy, who currently serves with the Worship Ministry at River Valley Church in Minnesota. They also have Gabby, their King Charles Cavalier.
